The Invulnerable Coat of St. Arnd is a holy suit of chainmail originally owned by the
Paladin of
Shandalene, St. Arnd, better known to the
Fire Wasps as Abbot
Justan. It was given to the
Minotaur Cleric Brother
Eustace by Abbot Justan, but its magic stayed quiet until Brother
Nehem of the monastery of St. Arnd administered tests to the Fire Wasps which awoke the suit’s virtues.
Although it was said there was a specific reason that the Coat had come to Eustace, the young minotaur chose to give up the Coat in order to redeem a temple of the
Elder Elemental Eye in the
Underdark city of
Zagundarga to the worship of Shandalene.
