Ringlerun

Ringlerun is a Human Wizard, originally hailing from a world known as Mystara. During an adventure in an underwater ruin, he won a riddle contest against a Marid and won his most prized possession, the Staff of Power.
In his younger days, he was friends with a Sorcerer named Kelek. Ultimately, Kelek's desire for power drove a wedge between them, and the two are now bitter rivals.
Ringlerun is part of a group of Adventurers called Valor's Call. He was recruited by the Paladin Strongheart because of his moral approach to scholarship. Sometimes, however, his thirst for knowledge and erudition gets in the way of the rest of his life, requiring his friends in the Call to drag him out on another "foolhardy expedition". His former friend Kelek formed a band of powerful villains who seek to gain power called the League of Malevolence. Ringlerun needs to do little convincing to persuade Strongheart to seek to thwart the League's purposes.
