Strongheart

Strongheart is a Human Paladin and the founder of the organization known as Valor's Call. He was originally born on the world of Mystara and was good friends with the warrior who became known as Warduke. The two traveled together and fought beside each other in their youths, until they sought an artifact called the Heartstone. Alongside other companions, they discovered that the Heartstone created evil duplicates of themselves whom they were forced to battle. From that day on, although Warduke still seemed to have all his own memories, he became bitter, cruel, and ruthless. This drove a wedge between the friends, and Strongheart sometimes wonders if the evil duplicate was victorious that day and has replaced his old friend. Strongheart is seldom without his magic longsword, Steel. As the sword is intelligent, it is as much a friend and companion to the paladin as it is a tool and weapon.
According to his friend Elkhorn, Strongheart is a fearless seeker of justice, putting his life on the line, over and over, to defeat evil. He and the other members of Valor's Call were fighting their rivals, the League of Malevolence, but Elkhorn was knocked unconscious. He believes that Strongheart and the others are trapped in the Palace of Heart's Desire by the magic of Iggwilv's Cauldron. The Witchlight Court discovered this is true, but Strongheart was apparently blasted out of a tower and is now suspended above a stormy maelstrom. They have roped him to a tower using Korred-hair rope, so they believe he is safe for now.
