Overview

Boris was an Honest and Generous ruler despite being a Shy man. His generosity made him an excellent Logistician.

Reign

In 1099, his Oathmen swore fealty to him. He felt that his loyal vassals didn't give him enough military power, so he made alliances with the Scovonian Kingdom and the Western Elves.
He declared war on Krovia in 1102. His goal was to capture some of the North Brican territory, which was under Krovian control at the time.
In 1104, his friend and advisor died in a battle against the Krovians. In his mourning, he became Reclusive and started to spend more and more time in his chambers.
In 1105, his military campaign ended in a decisive battle and he took the claimed territories.
Shortly after, he made a pilgrimage to the Grand Cathedral of Lagburg. He returned as a changed man and started spending most of his time with books and scholars. He saw on his journey how far behind his kingdom was.
Unfortunately, he couldn't achieve anything in his lifetime as the well-known effects of Jacob's Curse started to show in 1107.
He called for Strunitor Braidbeard immediately, who started working right away. He repeated the same process as before.
Something went awry however and instead of curing him, the procedure worsened his symptoms. A few days later, he started to morph into a demon and started to feast on his servants' flesh.
The Blak Guard locked him in his chamber while trying to find a cure, but after a few weeks, Boris completely succumbed to the possession and started to break the walls of his chamber. The Blak Guard deemed it necessary to slay the demon and the king within it.
The mages that helped the Blak Guard take the 'king' down decided to permanently lock Boris' chambers as chaotic energies permeated the room and it was deemed too dangerous for mortals to enter. This room became known as The Forbidden Chambers of Austium.
