Playing this Character
So you want to play as Fansed in some TTRPG (table top role playing game)? I don't blame you. I can help you make a character sheet for Pathfinder. But there are a few house keeping things we need to go over.
I will not be making a D&D character sheet guide. We have made Pathfinder the base of our more RPG story. If the character is minor enough I will not make them in D&D. The only minor character that I did a D&D sheet guide for is
Stala Frungedgroifaik. I will be using Patherfinder second edition. It will also not be the remaster revision. I didn't know that was a thing until just now.
Also I will only be going up to level ten for Fansed. This is because Fansed is based on the character of
Biggs from
Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is because Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are basically the same character in the orginal game. There is more to play with in the remake.
Pathfinder
Concept
The concept of a character in Pathfinder are called the ABC's. These are the Ancestry, Background, and Class of the character. Before we can dig into Fansed we should look at Biggs from
Final Fantasy VII Remake. According to the the fan wiki Biggs is a fighter. We know that Biggs and use firearms and is good with hand to hand combat. But we will look more at class later.
Ancestry
Fansed is a basic person. He is a plain normal human in this world of magic. But that doesn't mean that he is not special. Fanasty needs normal people to help highlight the more magical characters. As a human Fansed will be getting:
- Hit Points: 8
- Size: Medium
- Speed: 25 feet
- Ability Boost: Dexterity and free boost
- Languages: Common, plus an extra based on Intelligence modifier
I have picked the dexterity skill for the class that Fansed will have. Now we need to pick the basic heritage for Fansed. He will be a Versatile Human. This will let him pick a level one general feat. The feat that should be picked is Assurance. This let's Fansed work under the worst circumstances.
Background
There are a few different backgrounds that we can pick for Fansed. I would personally pick the closest to the time period that you are playing. That being said there are two different backgrounds that Fansed can have. If you can think of or find a different background that can fit... then choose that background.
The first background that we will look at is the Barkeep. Fansed use to work as the barkeep at
Nyesi's bar,
Quim Brear. He was not a good barkeep, but he did work as one. As a barkeep, Fansed will be gaining two ability boosts. One of those abilities needs to be either Constitution or Charisma. He will also be trained in Diplomancy and Alcohol Lore. He will also gain the Hobnobber skill feat.
The second background is the criminal. This is because Fansed is a member of the criminal group
Kezedfrunch. Fansed also works for Nyesi's cell as well. As a criminal Fansed will be getting two ability boosts. One of the abilities needs to be Dexterity or Intelligence. He will also be trained in Stealth and Underworld Lore.
If you pick a different background be sure to grab the Underworld Lore. Be sure that he is at least trained in the lore. It doesn't need to be higher than that.
Class
Looking at the basic artwork for
Biggs we see that he uses a firearm. This means that in Pathfinder there is only one class that Biggs and Fansed should be. That will be the Gunsligher in Pathfinder's book
Guns and Gears. This is an uncommon class, but Fansed will be the second character that has this class. The first one being
Nyesi Ncasssekwa. As a Gunslinger he will be getting:
- Expert: Perception
- Saving Throws: Expert in Fortitude and Reflex, trained in Will
- Skills: Way of the Pistolero, Deception and Survival
- Attacks: Expert in all firearms and crossbows. Trained in simple, martial, and unarmed attacks
- Defenses: Trained in light, medium, and unarmored defense
By picking the Way of the Pistolero we have the a fighter that uses a pistol. This is the best way for Fansed. This will let Fansed have a pistal with quick hands to draw the weapons. This way is basically the charming rouge arch-type. Fansed would be similiar to characters like
Han Solo and Biggs.

Ancestry Feats
The feats that define the ancestry of a character. This helps the chracter be a little different from other characters of the same ancestry. Here is what I think Fansed should have:
- Level 1: Natural Skill, Crafting and Religion, or Unconventional Weaponry, Dragon Mouth Pistol
- Level 5: Sense Allies
- Level 9: Incredible Improvisation
For level one, I found two feats that I thought would work best for Fansed. The first feat is Natural Skill and he should pick up Crafting and Religion. The Religion skill is my main skill dump. If I don't know what skill to grab and I already have social skills I will grab Religion. The crafting skill would be a good pick, because Fansed would have to be self-sufficient. The second feat for level one is Unconventional Weaponry, and I like the Dragon Mouth Pistol. But that would give a minor character a weapon that could be
Dragon Grade. A type of weapon that can kill dragons. This would lead to the question... how or why would Fansed have this kind of weapon? A plot hook for later.
Then at level five we have the feat Sense Allies. This would let Fansed know where is allies are if they are trying to hide. Something that would be handy for a group of criminals. The final feat that we can grab is Incredible Improvisation. This will make it so Fansed can improvise anything with skills that he is untrained.
Class Feats
This is where one gunslinger can differ a lot from another. I will be trying to make sure that the feats that I pick are different from
Nyesi Ncasssekwa, who is the main gunslinger of the group. I want to make sure that Fansed is different, so I will be picking feats that are different from Nysei. Of course you can pick different ones. Here is my list:
- Level 1: Cover Fire
- Level 2: Pistol Twirl
- Level 4: Alchemical Shot
- Level 6: Cauterize
- Level 8: Pistolero's Challenge
- Level 10: Penetrating Fire
The first feat that we are going to grab is Cover Fire. I was going to pick Blast Lock, but Nyesi has that feat as his first. I didn't want them to start as the same. Although they have different gunslinger ways. Anyways, Cover Fire let's Fansed give cover to his friends by giving cover fire.
Pistal Twirl can only be learned if the character has been trained in Deception. This let's Fansed do a quick gesture and flair that distracts his opponents. This will also let him do a quick attack to do extra damage. With Alchemical Shot, Fansed will be able to shoot an alchemical bomb. I thought that this would be a good pick because of his relationship with
Stala Frungedgroifaik. So she will be able to give Fansed a bomb to shot from his gun.
When a gun is shot the barrel will be hot. This is just how guns work. But with the feat Cauterize Fansed will be able to use that hot gun barrel to heal. Cauteriztion is when you burn a wound to stop it from bleeding. That is what this feat can do.
We then have the Pistolero's Challenge. This feat will let Fansed issue a challange to any foe. This feat will make Fansed and his foe do a quick old west deal. Penetrating Fire let's Fansed shoot a single shot that can go through a couple of different foes.
Skill Feats
These are feats that add to the skills of a character. Here are the skill feats that I think will work for Fansed:
- Level 2: Streetwise
- Level 4: Eyes of the City
- Level 6: Hobnobber
- Level 8: Bargain Hunter
- Level 10: Additional Lore, Alcohol Lore
Fansed has never left the city
Nyiltokti, so it makes sense to give him the Streetwise feat. This feat let's him know the streets of the city. That will make it easier for him to track down anyone in the city. Eyes of the City is an upgrade to the Streetwise. The upgrade will let him talk with the locals about the target that he is trying to find.
Then there is Hobnobber. This will let him learn new inforation by just talking to different people. This is also the bonus feat that is given to players that pick the Barkeep. This is a good pick, because Fansed use to be a barkeep for
Quim Brear before
Aùshe Sûngâzuōng took cover.
In the story, Fansed's cover story for going topside is shopping. When he is recalled from missions topside he goes shopping before coming home. This is make sure that no one knows that
Nyesi Ncasssekwa is running a
Kezedfrunch cell out of his bar. With a lot sudden shopping trips Fansed has become a Bargain Hunter. Then finally just trained in Alcohol Lore with the Additional Lore feat.
General Feats
The last part of the feats that a character can learn is general feats. These feats can be skill feats. Here is my very short list for Fansed:
- Level 3: Prescient Planner
- Level 7: Expeditious Search
Looking at the character of
Biggs, from
Final Fantasy VII Remake, we see that he worries. I think that this can be relfected with the Prescient Planner feat. This feat will let Fansed regularly create convoluted plans and contingencies. After all there needs to be someone in
Kezedfrunch that makes plans. Then there is the Expeditious Search feat. This will let Fansed loot and check bodies very carefully. With this feat he will be able to loot and gain things from fallen foes. He will also be able to find secrets and explore areas easier.
