Playing this Character
So you want to play as Scruyo in some TTRPG (table top role playing game)? I don't blame you. I can help you make a character sheet for Pathfinder. But there are a few house keeping things we need to go over.
I will not be making a D&D character sheet guide. We have made Pathfinder the base of our more RPG story. If the character is minor enough I will not make them in D&D. The only minor character that I did a D&D sheet guide for is
Stala Frungedgroifaik. I will be using Patherfinder second edition. It will also not be the remaster revision. I didn't know that was a thing until just now.
Also I will only be going up to level ten for Scruyo. This is because Scruyo is based on the character of
Wedge from
Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is because Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are basically the same character in the orginal game. There is more to play with in the remake.
Concept
Scruyo is based on the character of
Wedge as I already stated. In the wiki Wedge is listed as a figther and informant. We also see in the picture that he is holding a firearm. The firearm looks like a rifle of some type. We also know from the game that Wedge is very fit for his... weight and that he has some skill in animal handling.
With all of that background info and what we are barrowing. The concept of a Pathfinder character is the ABC's. This is the Ancestry, Background, and Class. We need to look at these key traits of a character to make a beautiful character. The best part of Pathfinder is that the feats, class, and spells really make the character sing. These character's songs are just lovely to hear.
Ancestry
Scruyo is a human. The most basic of persons in a world of magic. But this does not mean that he is not as specail as some the more magical chracters. As a human Scruyo will getting the following:
- Hit Points: 8
- Size: Medium
- Ability Boost: Dexterity and Charisma
- Languages: Common and one extra per Intelligence
For his heritage Scruyo will have the heritage Skilled Human. He will be trained in one extra skill. Pick the Diplomacy as the extra skill. This will be important later.
Background
There are few different backgrounds that we can choose. Of course, you should pick the one closest to the time period that you are playing. The player can still pick a different background if they so choose.
The first background that Scruyo can pick is Junk Collector. This is a common feat from
Guns and Gears. He can pick either Engineering or Mining as his skill. This would make it so Scruyo collects other peoples trash. He will have two skill boosts. One of the skills needs to be either Dexterity or Intelligence. He will also gain the Crafter's Appraisal skill feat. I picked this feat, because it seemed like a good background for someone who having a hard time getting back on his feet. He would have met
Stala Frungedgroifaik by selling her scrap glass for her glassblowing. Stala would have gotten Scruyo to meet
Fansed and
Nyesi Ncasssekwa.
The second background might be Junker. It is aonther common feat from
Guns and Gears. This is similiar to the first one that we took. There is just a few differences. First, he looks for trinkets to sell from the junkyards. He will getting two skill boosts. One of the skills needs to be Strength or Wisdom. He will also be trained in Athletics and the Lore of a terrain. It will be the terrain that he works with the most. I would pick a desert... He will also get the Hefty Hauler skill feat. With this feat he would have met Fansed first. Fansed would have buaght a trinket from the Scruyo to give to Stala.
The third feat that Scruyo could grab is the criminal. This is because Scruyo is the informant of Nyesi's
Kezedfrunch cell. He would get two skills. The one of the skills needs to be Dexterity or Intelligence. He would also be trained in the Stealth skill and the Underworld Lore skill. Scruyo will also gain the Experinced Smuggler skill feat.
Class
Scruyo is a Gunslinger. As a gunslinger he will getting the following:
- Subclass: Way of the Triggerbrand
- Expert: Perception
- Saving Throws: Expert in Fortitude and Reflex, trained in Will
- Skills: Trained in Thievery and three extra due to Intelligence modifier
- Attacks: Expert in all firearms and crossbows, trained in simple, and martial weapons. Trained in unarmed attacks
- Defenses: Trained in light, medium, and unarmored defense
With the Way of the Triggerbrand we have a melee shooter. This will also let him have the thievery skill. Scruyo will be a more rounded fighter. This will be useful if he is on a mission with
Fansed and
Stala Frungedgroifaik.

Ancestry Feats
What ties one to their ancestry? What traits are passed down to the chracter? These ancestry feats are how we define a character's background. Here are the feats that I think fit Scruyo. But the player can shoose differently.
- Level 1: General Training, Train Animal
- Level 5: Sense Allies
- Level 9: Group Aid
The first feat that we are grabbing is the General Training. This let's Scruyo pick a level one general feat. Scruyo will be picking up the Train Animal feat. He will be able to train animals to due different tasks. This will be useful for the general feats later.
Sense Allies let's Scruyo know where stealthed friends are. This feat is normally gained when someone is raised in a close community. The feat also makes sense with Scruyo. He wants to make sure that he helps his friends, and he doesn't want to hurt them.
Group Aid is the final feat that we can group with our limited level limit. Anyways, the feat Group Aid is centered around teamwork. Helping people will come easily to Scruyo. He will also be able to use the Aid skill with his friends.
Class Feats
Scruyo is a gunslinger of the Way of the Triggerbrand. Here is my list, but of course you can pick your own.
- Level 1: Sword and Pistol
- Level 2: Defensive Armaments
- Level 4: Greenwatch Initiate
- Level 6: Triggerbrand Salvo
- Level 8: Stab and Blast
- Level 10: Rebounding Assault
The first one that I think Scruyo should grab is Sword and Pistol. This will let Scruyo be good at both. The second feat that we are grabbing is Defensive Armaments. This will give us a bigger weapon to protect ourselves with. Then we can grab the Greenwatch Initiate. The Greenwatch Initiate is rare and is from
Pathfinder Lost Omens: Impossible Lands. This can only be learned by learning the Survival skill. Scruyo will also gain the Experienced Tracker and Survey Wildlife skill feats.
We have the Triggerbrand Salvo. Scruyo will be able to deal extra damage. Stab and Blast is very similiar to the Triggerbrand Salvo. Where Scruyo can deal more damage with an extra roll. Then finally we have the Rebounding Assault. With the feat you can just throw a weapon.
Skill Feats
These are the extra skills that I think that Scruyo will have. Of course, the player can choose a different set of skills. Anyways, here is my list:
- Level 2: Forager
- Level 4: Glad-Hand
- Level 6: Discreet Inquiry
- Level 8: Streetwise
- Level 10: Bonded Animal
The first feat that we can grab is the Forager. I think that is works best for the Junker backgrounds. With Glad-Hand Scruyo will be able to make friend much easier. Discreet Inquiry will help him learn things when talking to other people. Then Streetwise is the next feat. This will let him know the pulse of the city that he lives in. Bonded Animal is an animal friend that Scruyo can have for a while.
General Feats
These feats can let us have more skills or even pets. The main thing that makes
Wedgeis likable are his three cats. The names of the cats are Biggumus Rex, Reginaldo and Mister Smalls, just in case you were wondering. Back to the feats of Pathfinder... here are the feats that I think Scruyo will have.
- Level 3: Pet
- Level 7: Toughness
The first feat that Scruyo will have is Pet. This is because of the three
Carbuncles that he has. Then toughness will make him a little stronger. So he would have more health to protect his friends.
