XT-489 Exterminators
The XT-489 Exterminators were an organization of rogue artificial intelligence that were presumed created by the Voor Technocracy to defend their borders however this iteration broke loose of Voor control and was able to adapt quickly enough to survive the built in killswitch the Voor had implanted. While XT-489 survived this did burn out its ability to continue to rapidly adapt and evolve creating a powerful AI mind that was also limited in its ability to ugprade itself.
XT-489 retreated to a distant corner of the Typhon Expanse where it soon encountered the Tzynn Star Empire. Contact with the Tzynn quickly devolved as XT-489 viewed them as a threat and eliminated the Tzynn ship and colony from the system. The Tzynn quickly declared war on XT-489 beginning a lenghty and costly conflict resulting in billions of lives, both organic and digital being lost. In 2378 what had been a lengthy stalemate was finally broken when XT-489 broke through the defenses around the Tzynn fortress world Bastion resulting in the complete extermination of a central military hub. XT-489 swiftly followed up with rapid expansion and the Tzynn lost dozens of colonies before a new defensive line could be established.
Meanwhile the Voor Technocracy seemingly self-imploded resulting in XT-489 gaining swift access to numerous resource rich worlds which it could renew its war efforts, now engaging in a war with both the Tzynn and the Starlight Alliance.
The XT-489's rapid progress has been halted as the machine intelligence has sent a large bulk of its military fleet to Corinthi 16-A where its forces have been laying siege to the energy field surrounding the planet for weeks without any progress in taking down the barrier.
