A Haven for the Endangered

The Swiftan Preservation Centre, an undisclosed location somewhere in the Eastern mountains of Cytal. The continent's biggest organisation dedicated to preserving and protecting endangered species from the ever increasing threats to the animals and habitats of the natural world.

The work in which Swiftan began so many years ago is a step in the right direction. But the world is made up of so many wonderful creatures, so it brings me great joy to expand the work of this farm to many more.

Defences of the Farm:

Due to the nature of the centre and the creatures in which it houses, proper defences have been prepared to ensure the safety of the animals that call this place a home but also the staff who work tirelessly to protect them. The first is the secrecy of the location itself. While many know it is somewhere in the Eastern mountain range, only those who have been could find it once again. It will not be found on any commercial map or detected by a basic tracking spells.
The second line of defence is the sky patrol. Members of staff who fly in the skies searching for anyone who might be trespassing or simply lost in the harsh rocky environment.

3rd Line of Defence

Only the highest members of staff are aware of this defence. An underground fence is built around the perimeter of the centre. With beacons distanced that discreetly amplifies a magic dampening effect to deter the use of magical trickery inside the centre.

History:

In the age of Acurans, the centre was simply a farmhouse, isolated in the mountains. Owned by Swiftan, the Acuran of Speed, along with his wife and children. The family were aware of the decreasing numbers of White Writers at the time, a flying animal that could move with incredible speeds. Deciding he could not watch these animals go extinct, Swiftan took it upon himself to protect these flying creatures, thus creating the White Writer Farm.
The original farm sole purpose was to protect and learn about White Writers, which led to Swiftan being able to tame the creatures and gain enough knowledge to create the first potion of swiftness. After his death, the family of Swiftness continued his legacy and protected the White Writers from rustlers and the harsh environment of the skies.
Generations later, the location of the farm became known to another Acuran, Osarri. Who had an affinity for animals and a personal mission to find every animal she could in Violem. This quest led her to the farm, where she proposed an idea of expanding the farm. Allowing it to protect multiple endangered species. The family of Swiftan loved this idea and worked with her to create new enclosures for animals such as the newly discovered Boulder Muncher.
The idea of housing animals grew bigger and bigger over the centuries to become the centre that it is today. But the good work of the Swiftan family has proven more difficult over the past few decades. With an increase in spies infiltrating the farm for information and in worse case scenarios, kidnapping animals for personal gains.
