Purpose / Function

The Golden Goblin is a large inn first and foremost. Its purpose is to bring in weary sailors and offer them a plethora of food, drink, entertainment and a warm bed to sleep in. In this aspect the Golden Goblin strives as it strikes a perfect balance between quality and cost. However it also acts as a home base for the street gang known as The Golden Boars who conduct business in the Whard and operate out of this inn's cellar. While this fact is pubicly known the watch of the city doesnt bother dealing wih them as the wharf is so large it would be an expensive uptake and they havent done much harm to the city directly.

Architecture

The Golden Goblin has a stone foundation with 4 stories of dark wood making up its primary construction. From the outside the entire building seems to tip to the right as it rises above most other buildings in this district. Gazing upon it you see 2 large doors along with a porch and 3 levels of balconies from the front alongs with a collections of windows which always seem to be lit. Going inside to the first floor you come into a large open floor. This floor is surrounded by a raised wooden area which contains many private window booths, but in the center in a slgihtly lowered area accessed by stairs there is large wide open circular tables. Towards the back of the room in the center is a massive bar with a swining door located in between two large shelves which are filled to the brim with alcohol. Looking up you can see the roof all the way at the top and realize that this bottom floor is surrounded by balconies that look down upon it. Its on these balconies where you'll find the various rooms available to rent. To access these balconies you need to move to the bar where there is 2 large wooden staircases on either side of the bar that heads upwards.   Each room within the Golden Goblin is quite a simple small wooden room usually with one window, a bed, a small desk and nightstand. There are some rooms that have 2 beds as well.   There is also the cellar which has been converted to the hideout for the Golden Boars. This cellar has been expanded to accommodate the large amount of members and also furnished. Walking into the room its a long and wide hall with one central long wooden table. Decorating the walls is various portraits of what seems to be past leaders and most dont share a race. At the front of the room there also seems to be a large golden vault door and inside is the Boar's treasury where they keep their ill gotten gains.
