The Blue Talon Privateers
The Blue Talons are a large company of privateers under the leadership of Elwell Richmond. Operating mainly out of the fortified isle of Taono, the company protects merchants and travelers from pirates while hunting down anyone with a bounty on their heads that sails through the waters of their routes.
The Company hire most of their sailors from the islands the archipelago they patrol, with many of the people there already being experienced sailors due to the nature of the archipelago. When docked, sailors can often be found in the many taverns throughout town, taking full benefit of the free time they have between the uncertain times at sea. When out sailing, they primarily patrol frequent trade routes against pirates or react when a settlement call for aid for any variety of issues.
The group is by far not the only group of mercenaries and privateers to have established themselves in the archipelago, with rivalries being common among the assorted outfits, but officially the companies do not attack eachother, to avoid being declared pirates by the tribe elders.
