Ketrikkhaz Archipelago
The Ketrikkhaz Archipelago is a set of volcanic isles located around central to southern Ikune. The volcanic activity has given rise to the region's fame as one of the warmest in Ikune. The region is not without danger, as volcanic activity poses a threat to those who are not careful and the intense storms are a risk to all but the biggest ships. Despite this, however, the islands are lush with rare plant and animal life not found elsewhere, and boasts a thriving fishing industry as long as the ships take care to avoid the reefs scattered throughout the region.
The largest of the islands within the archipelago is Maruhin, home to the Dulinri capital of Tinul'drak. The island itself is lush with native flora and fauna, though the locals typically avoid the mountains due to the area being volcanically active, presenting a risk to explorers.
Like many islands across the archipelago, Maruhin is dotted in ancient structures. Some forgotten and others not, though most locals leave the ruins be out of respect for the past. The rest of the archipelago itself is likewise filled with ruins caused by a variety of circumstances ranging from the hazards of the region to pirates and other circumstances caused by the dragons back before Drissau earned their freedom. Many of these islands are filled to the brim with dangers if they are not already looted by opportunistic explorers, but many also contain relics of the past, making them tempting targets for many.
