Lusmir grows resentful and the seeds of darkness are planted.

The death of a god creates a massive chasm in the world and births lesser evils to rain havoc on the world of mortals.

Lusmir’s final act of desperation gave birth to an army of paramount evil and destruction. For as Lusmir’s life spilled from his celestial body, a darkness poured from the newly opened rend in the earth. But something else happened which Lyonus would never have foreseen coming: that should one brother perish, the surviving brother would soon die as well. Lyonus rushes home to prepare and gather a force powerful enough to quell the spread of the vile corruption. Upon his return, he discovers a number of his loyal Fey have been murdered by those whom had taken the role of turncoat to serve in his brother’s dark crusade. He charges his remaining loyal Fey to amass an army of mortals. The Legendary Fey general, Maerona, forms The Paragons of Lyon.

The mortals move to confront Lusmir’s dark forces at Lathar’s Scar but are unevenly matched. With the battle nearly lost and the mortal’s numbers severely thinned, Fey General Maerona and six of her Paragons rally their remaining soldiers for a final assault and lead a charge on the enemy. They fight viciously and tirelessly, moving from one bloody battle to the next, penetrating deeper and deeper into Lusmir’s dark forces. But even still, the enemies prove too numerous and all things light in the world begin to fade. Lyonus, weak and frail in his dying state, once more takes up his shield and holy scepter and leaps from the clouds. A bright light streaks violently across the sky, trailing behind him as he plunges headlong into the Lathas’ Scar. An ear-shattering boom echoes from deep within the earth and a blinding flash of light pours forth from the dark abyss, covering the lands. Lusmir’s dark forces are bathed in a violent light and begin to crack and fade from existence.

A group of mercenaries-turned-heroes fought to stop the return of Lusmir by his dark agents. A renown and legendary company known as Cottier & Co. recruited and sponsored these individuals in an effort to stop the event, and if they failed to stop it, fight back to vanquish the ancient God.
