Personal history

Though he was husband of lady Taheri Talat, brother of Lady Lalzari Talat (wife of King Taylan Talat), uncle to all of the King's children including Prince Asil Talat, Prince Roshan Talat, and Princess Sibel Talat as well as biological father of Prince Beyhan Talat...Zar was little more than decoration and arm-candy in the court of Ostar.
The Tokhi siblings came from quite a bit of money, and their parents were supporters of the Talat plan for a new Kingdom, but they were not more than minor unlanded nobility in Delryn. In Ostar, where the individual skill of the individual was promised to be more highly prized, their parents hoped their children would find greater fortune. Of course, their individual skills were largely irrelevant when they were quickly married into the royal family.

Sexuality

Though a host of rumors abounded about the royal family of the time, the reality was that Zar was simply asexual as well as intersex. Once he and Taheri had done their duty and produced an heir, he was happy to be left out of any other sexual needs their family may have had and to serve other purposes amongst the group.

Education

Zar was educated as a musician and was hoping to become a bard before being married into the Royal family, though his parents with higher hopes had done everything possible to delay his journeyman status and any promotion to master bard, but he was allowed to pursue these interests freely in the Royal household alongside his other duties.
