Heliodora Rockhammer was born many, many years ago (mountain dwarves live up to around 350) into a large family of dwarves who ran a family mine. Her curiosity and willing family brought her to experience many of their mine's offerings at a young age - from the gorgeous speleothems in cave they discovered generations ago to the deep pools filled with luminescent fish. This set off an early interest in materials, especially gemstones. It is with this interest that Heliodora became a well-known figure at the forge - helping make, repair, and improve the tools used by her family and any visitors (visitors had to pay for their visit) used.
As everything was provided by her family and larger community, Heliodora had a relatively quiet and simple life - that is, until her nieces and nephews started being born. They started cute, but as they grew older they played more and more pranks and other reckless shenanigans to each other. It was then Heliodora decided to take longer breaks from the forge and the loudness of it all, picking up fighting techniques, weapon use, and some skill with making jewelry as hobbies. As primarily a smith, she prefers large hammers. As the childish behavior continued cycling through other younger (but not that much younger, mind you!) family members, she started taking longer and longer breaks, becoming a skilled fighter in the meantime.
At some point, one of the visitors to the mine brought an interesting flyer to this organization called the 'ARA'. She decided perhaps it's time to explore a bit more of the world and be away from all the screaming and yelling her younger siblings, cousins, and other extended family members were more than willing to give. After getting her mother's blessing (but only if you visit home every once in a while!) she set off on her new adventure...

Contacts & Relations
The Party: everyone is pretty good overall - team's nice, get to go on cool adventures. Occasionally people are silly or immature, but she's grown to like most of them.
The ARA: Pretty happy with accommodations - they provided with a portal to home so she can visit and help out often, the existence of a forge on site, people generally cool and interesting.
Venandi: straight and to the point, which is appreciated. Wishes he spoke a bit more with some room for chat though.
Desmo: so many fun facts! Can geek out about rocks, helps show cool things she can practice making at the forge.
Vena: Heliadora isn't often in the library but, enjoys her knowledge and ability to show off that knowledge without being lofty about it.
Munda: Enjoys the ambience of the café and a huge part of that is because of her. Eyeing some of the art she makes as well, and Heliadora is very curious about this form of art she's not used to.
Lupin: He's very cool, though sometimes trips up in social situations. Seems to have a bunch of cat hair? Does he even have a cat?
Salmahn: Not very happy with the know-it-all attitude, but felt bad about how much he was bullied on the first mission she met him at.
Khorne-Shonne: initially eyed suspiciously by Heliadora at Sal and Vena's first reactions, but has grown to find they means to harm. Seems enough people are taking care of him, thank goodness.
More specific party notes
Angie/Engie: still wondering about how quiet she is but won't bring it up. Appreciates her quiet company and shared interest of tinkering with things
Soren: a little bit of a show off, which isn't appreciated, but she respects his contributions to the team.
Sage: though slightly disgruntled at first for needing to carry her around, Heliadora noticed she really upset her when they burned the bones and has been trying to improve communication so she won't stress her again.
Master Dumbo: seems like a smart guy with a head on their shoulders, but only got to meet once so jury's still out.
Axus: seems like a fun guy, can appreciate the mild antics that don't bother anyone. Still questioning his actions toward Salmahn but, seems okish now??
Thirteen: a being of metal and vine... so cool! Also Heliadora swears she saw quite the projectile bounce right off.
Blinky: They seem fun! Very nice and fun to be around …and survived the hell of a hit back in that hill
Deimos: Seems very energetic, but controls a very large, cute bear. They got to connect over teaching undercommon to talk to the bear.
Sylvester: Big bear that likes peanut butter, enjoys his calm demeanor.
Sol/Shaye: very mysterious, but cool that they have two forms
Umbra: initial impressions weren't great, mistreating Sal like that, but has gotten to see his skill and love for daggers. Still kinda mysterious though.
Vic: Only just got to meet him, seems much more calm than the other newcomers and Heliadora is very glad to see this.
