Savikas arranged for us to travel by griffin to meet her friend, who would teleport us to Elturel. She sent Lulu, a tiny flying golden elephant, to join us on our mission. Apparently, she helped Zariel hide her sword during the first demon wars, but now suffers severe amnesia and short term memory loss.

The griffin ride was the closest I've been to flying in ages. I daresay I even felt giddy as I reached out for passing clouds and breathed that fine, crisp breeze. I will be strict with my training and take every opportunity I can as we travel to restore my bodily connection and become a respectable Aarakocra once again.

In Elturel, we made our way to the High Hall, where survivors were rumored to be camping. On the Torm's Blade Bridge, we discovered that Umber's divine powers allowed him to channel the runic markings and burn the feet of the guards. Then, with the guards distracted, I led the charge across using Gust of Wind to give us as much leeway as possible. I'm still in shock that I even have the ability. Not many Aarakocra can tap into it without special training.

As we moved through the city beyond the bridge, we enocountered some nasty ghouls. I made a souvenir of one of their hands. In a collapsing building nearby, we found Kunin's parents and he was able to rescue them. What are the odds of that? I suppose sometimes, there is a chance in Hell.

The cathedral was heavily guarded. We took out a pack of hellhounds, one of whom lost his masculinity to my penchant for trophies. Inside, we entered the grand foyer, where we found an altar that we later learned concealed a secret passage. We were rushed by a large, dragonesque demon and six cultists, but soon dispatched them as well with the help of none other than Lt. Mantlemorn! Sporting a prosthetic leg and a big sword, she leapt into the fray as naturally as if she'd always had three limbs.

After we were all reacquainted, it was time to explore the cathedral. In a back room, I discovered a bloody altar and felt that peculiar sensation of rage threatening to overtake me again. I was able to fight it off and I feel I have Coo's training to thank for that. It creeps up on me at the strangest and most inconvenient times, often when I am faced with particularly gory scenes. I have a hunch that I'll be encountering a lot of those in the coming weeks. I have to train harder.

We reconvened in the foyer and gathered around the altar for a rest. Naturally, it wasn't going to be that simple. We were attacked by a freakish, multi-appendaged monster. None of us knows where it came from, but it seemed to be targeting Umber. That was its first and last mistake. Umber handily splattered its brains all over the wall and we all slept soundly after that.
