The Fenfall River

The Fenfall river bisects the continent of Rigda, flowing from the Trident Mountains in the north to the ocean in the south. Just south of Fort Dread, the river splits into the upper and lower Fenfall and spreads out through the Spirit Fens.

One of the more unusual features of the Fenfall is the junction between the lower fenfall and what had previously been a third branch of the river that passed through what is now the Makhvi Jungle. When the continental crust was raised, the river reversed its course, flowing back down its well worn course to flow back into the lower Fenfall. This caused the water level in the region to rise, further submerging the already marshy wetlands of the The Spirit Fen.
