Spirit Fens

The Spirit Fens are a vast stretch of wetlands in the south-central region of Rigda. In ages past, poison was poured into the Fenfall River, which then spread throughout the northern half of the fens, killing almost everything that lived in the region. Out of this immense suffering emerged the First Dragmar Horde that swept into The Great Hart Forest and into the central plains of Eastern Nomads.

In the ages since, life has returned to the marsh, but the northern reaches are still a place plagued by poverty, disease, and misery. Despite this, many have learned to live their, either by choice or necessessity. Small villages have sprung up around the few sources of clean water like Hope Springs.
