Personal history
Born in 735 a.Paþ in the city of Nális, then capital of Pérgal, Alþa's whole life since the age of nine was marked by seeing her homeland being slowly chipped away, starting with The Sunless Day in 744 a.Paþ, a disastrous defeat against the forces of the Kingdom of Núrak and subsequent loss of the western provinces of Pérgal. She left Nális as the royal court relocated in the city of Krelissía to the east, where Alþa married a local aristocrat shortly after.
As the armies of Núrak were replaced by those of Tirúlíon and finally Sikíron, her father, husband and other friends and relatives spent longer time afield than at home, and not all came back; Alþa's father died defending a fort in southern Pérgal, and later on her husband in an ambush near Konissía in Voðría while on his way back from a pilgrimage to the Oracles of Terlataníanus. She too trained for war, particularly with a traditional sword similar to our world's falcata and shield, as well as with bow and arrows and -to lesser extent- magic.
Alþa died during the Siege of Krelissía in 800 a.Paþ in a duel with Ástía, queen of Sikíron.

She had an affinity for owls, as the only times they appeared in her dreams it proved to be a good omen and carried a silver owl amulet around her neck for good luck.

Religious Views
In addition to public ceremonies in honour of various gods, particularly after becoming a queen, Alþa prayed particularly often to the divine bull Ásaríus and Zerakis the sun god, along with the spirit of her ancestor Hatis I, who reigned during Pérgal's golden age. She even had a small shrine and altar be erected in Krelissía so she could continue make sacrifices to the latter, which has since been dedicated to a local deity of pottery.
