Fordbridge

The Brightmoon Heritage Home is found here, and the current resident is a single father named Alton Brightmoon. His wife was taken and killed by Gnolls on a trip down to the Lake of Battered Helms, leaving Alton to raise their daughter on his own. He is a melancholy Halfling that does his best to remain cheerful in the presence of his young daughter. Alton used to take more pride in his heritage, but his interests have waned of late. Others in the borough have taken to regaling his daughter with stories of their noble past. The burgher of Fordbridge is Callus Boondoggle, and he takes the security of the river very seriously. He is always boasting about the prominent role his borough has in the protection of Meadowspring, with the nearby crow’s nests ensuring the crossing of the river is safe. There is a section of the Avonshire River here that can be crossed easier, as the water gets shallower, and many rocks can be seen protruding out of the centre of the river. These rocky shoals have created some islands in the river itself. Two crow’s nests on either side of the river to these islands serve to give warning to those trying to cross with unwelcome intent.
