The Bounty of Kings
Sometimes shortened to 'The Bounty' or referred to as The Thieves Guild of Strobenheim, the Bounty is led by Nyx'aleon, a self proclaimed master thief. Although known throughout the country, those within the city know little about how the guild actually operate. What is known is that they rarely steal belongings of regular people, instead going after those that have gained wealth from their religious pedigree in the city. This includes high priests or priestesses and even the six bishops of Strobenheim themselves, making them quite the high priority target with the local militia, The Arms of Elysium.
Structure
The Bounty is led by one, central leader, Nyx'aleon; however, despite not having titles, he does have those he trusts, who help the organisation of the guild as well as lead it should he not be able. This has led to the guild forming an informal 'inner circle' of Nyx'aleon's most trusted allies, which act almost like a leading council.
Public Agenda
As far as the public are concerned, The Bounty only steal from the Church of Elysium within Strobenheim. It is presumed that this is due to the Church's near ludicrous wealth in the city, which is much greater than any other city. Despite the city officially being run by a mayor, it is essentially run by the faith, which pushes out anyone who isn't religious, so The Bounty is seen as a way to combat this.
Assets
Other than a few dozen thieves at their disposal, it is also rumoured that they have some kind of deal with The Azure Owls, as they provide information about the city and its leadership to them while the Owls provide partial, diplomatic immunity, ensuring information about them does not get out. This could merely be a rumour; however, as it would explain why The Bounty is so difficult to track, but there is little to no evidence for is.
History
Rumoured to have been formed in response to the apparent, horrific acts of The Arms of Elysium's champion, Garan Lemont, as there was a great deal of unrest from those that said the Church had too much, unchecked power. These rumours began after the Thieves were sighted, using a tampered version of the symbol for Nimue, the First of the Fey's eye, a known religious symbol, to mark their presence. They began to be sighted shortly after these rumours surrounding Garan began to arise, lending credence to this idea.
