Horith Namys
Prince Erendriel Aleroth (a.k.a. Horith Namys (Isle Elvish-: "Dark Magician"))
Horith Namys ("Dark Magician") is the pseudonym of Prince Erendriel Aleroth. The Island Elves of Fearann Dorcha aka The Dark Land applied the name to the Prince as he grew in power and capabilities of long suppressed dark magic of the Elves.
As Prince Erendriel grew to resent his "elder" brother Prince Travaran for his perceived skills, talents, beauty and favortism from their father, King Eldaerenth, the Prince sought his own path. Feeling "denied" a portion of his birthright, Horith searched for a way to "reclaim" his standing and power as a Prince of the royal family of the Island Elves.
His search led Horith to the ancient storage halls and libraries at the elven capital Nethorond and throughout the The Dark Land. Here Horith spent countless hours reading about the ancient history of the Island Elves and Sgitheanach Dubh. Horith found references and knowledge of ancient powers and beings that pre-dated the arrival of Elves in the Innsegall Islands.
Horith came to find out about the transformation of Wood Elves into the Island Elves. The deeper Horith researched and read, the more he uncovered long hidden secrets about his race. This new found knowledge resulted in an awakening in the mind of Horith. His desire to learn more led him down a path of unearthing dark magics and knowledge,
Horith began to think about using this new found knowledge not just to regain his birthright by overthrowing his brother and father, rather to use the power to destroy all that the Island Elves had built. Horith slowly found those of like minds, or those who sought something different than the status quo. The result was the creation of the Colkerradun.
Horith appeared less and less at court and in the capital. When he did Horith was always in a dark and foul mood, using magic indiscrimately in public (thus earning the appelation of "Horith Namys"). Suspecting something might be happening to his brother, Prince Travaran, sent members of the Order of the Arrow to discover what was happening. The agents reported back to the Prince on the meetings of the Colkerradun and that his brother was gaining power in dark magics. Prince Travaran told the King what he discovered about his brother. This news scared and concerned the king. He called Prince Erendriel to account for his behavior.
Hearing his father demanded him to account for his behavior at court and now even more resentful and angry at his brother for spying on him, Horith chose to flee The Dark Land with the Colkerradun. They evaded the guards and agents sent by the king to find them by making use of the dark knowledge they had gained.
Over time agents of the king and other Elves have spotted or gotten word of members of the Colkerradun throughout Sgitheanach Dubh. However, no one has personally spotted or seen Horith in decades.
