Cadalhun

Craddle Valan

The Cadalhun were a one of the three major cultures that came out of the early Valan tribe of Human dwelling in the Craddle Valley in the prehistoric periods. The other two being the Mahal and the Beneten. While the Mahal spread south and the Beneten moved west, it was the Cadalhun that inherited the valley itself.

Little is understood about the Cadalhun earliest history, beyond being a part of the Valan culture. Their recorded history begins after the Gilgurth impact. Siduumites myth claims them as the Valan that could not reach the protection of Elder Tree Urzan after the event. The Cadalhun dwelt in caves on the edge of the valley to the east in the aftermath of the destruction. They would rejoin their people under Urzan at some point after, eventually settling around Lake Sumer to the south, and becoming the dominate tribe of the valley.

It would be a tribe of the Cadalhun known as the Siduumites that worshipped the Dragon of the Cutting Mountains to the east of the valley that would come to replace the Cadalhun, as they had replaced the Valan. Though the Siduumites would be the people that create what is arguably the longest reigning nation in Ethae history, Ancient Siduum; the foundations of that great nation were began by the Cadalhun.
