Ilunladria (ILL oon lan dreah)

Golden People of Borg

The Illulandria was a pagan religious of the Benet. It was created early in the nations pre-history, when the Beneten tribe settled into the Land of Five Lakes. Sometime around 1600 pre-sc Feyite arrived at Elder Tree Borg through the World Root. Though they remained separate from the Beneten, hidden away in the tree, the two people were in contact. The Feyites shared some of the Magic they had learned in exchange for supplies the Beneten had, such as grains and breads. This evolved into a semi-worship status as the Beneten would bring "sacrifices" of their supplies to the 'Golden People of Borg' in exchange for favor from these ilu (gods). Over time Beneten tribes become the Benet civilization, some distance from the Land of Five Lakes and Borg. Eventually Borg was lost, but the old ways remained. Ancestral stories become myths. Myth become religious facts. The faith of Ilunlandria was born.

The faithful of Ilunlandria made pilgrimage to Borg when the tree still remained. Later, after Borg drowned and vanished from the world under the waters of Yaren Juhl, the followers of this religion would continue the practice traveling out into the waters of Yaren Juhl, at first over the Borja Waters, later anywhere on Yaren Juhl. At the end of these trips the faithful would dump their 'sacrifice' into the waters.

The religion never spread beyond Benet. Dying out after Dragonfall and the destruction of that ancient nation.
