Stone Forest
Kusran's Forest
Located in southern Lhakamed where the Desert of Anbar and the Areian Peaks meet, the Stone Forest is a region of petrified trees that once was a forest that grow in the region during the Kephic Age. After the destruction of the Areian Nations and their forest Karasaanu in Dragonfall, as small section of Karasaanu was restored by the Elf of Zalpula under the direction of King Kusran.
The forest, known through its life as Kusran's Forest was destroyed in fire in the Lakorthian Age. Elf Magic throughout the forest, protecting it from the encroaching desert, was shattered, creating the petrification of many of the trees that had survived the initial fires creating the modern landscape of the Stone Forest. Most of these trees stood for several generation, slowly falling due to weather. In the modern day the site is largely forgotten by most, but still lingers out there beyond the borders of Toemanshire to be seen by anyone traveling past Mons Bonos.
Tavern rumors are that the Zalpula used great rods of Dragon Glass standing upright among the forest as generators of magic and life to aid in the expansion of the forest. This has led many to search the lands for these rods, or even broken pieces of them. While nuggets of dragonglass have been found in the region these rods remain unfound, if they existed at all.
