River Brigantia

The River Brigantia is the name of the river that flows through Paragan and forms a physical manifestation of the goddess herself. Those who live by the river or the many adjoining canals may have aspects of the goddess above their doorways to ward off mischievous river spirits or prevent flooding.
The only clerics of Brigantia in Paragan are the Gondoliers or Boatmen who ferry people across the river or to other stopping points along the canals. Brigantia is worshipped more widely in the countryside to the north, with farmers beseeching both her favour and that of Belnia for a good harvest. The same farmers may also seek to appease Degdia, goddess of weather to provide rain and avoid storms.
