Welcome to the first Flashfire challenge of Aran'sha! You might wonder: what's up with the name? The answer is simple: This hot and fiery challenge runs for just three days!
This judged challenge won't give you much time to rise to the occasion, but I can't wait what wonders you all come up with.
Do I need to write prose/a specific template?
Not at all, you can choose any style or template as long as your submission fits the prompt somehow.
How long does my article have to be?
To be eligible, an article has to be at least 200 and at most 1500 words (real words, no BB code) long. You have the option to rework an old article as long as the prompt fits.
How much time do I have?
This challenge will be gone in a flash - it runs from the 29.10 to 31.10.24 - be aware that does counts until the end of the 31th in your timezone.
How do I submit an article?
Simply comment with a link to your article
Are there rewards? Is this a judged challenge?
All participants can grab the badge to the right once they submitted their article.
The winner (picked by yours truly) gets an extra shiny badge and of course a special mention.
Will there be more?
Yes, I plan to run those in very irregular intervals.

Is there a festival or myth surrounding this element? Has some calamity (or a mighty spell) struck down a city with fire from the sky?
Or was a new, everlasting friendship born at a warm, nurturing campfire?
All of these could be your story to tell - or is it something else entirely?
Within the abyss, there is a spark, a sudden flash of fire.. then all is dark again. Will your story fade into darkness or burn as brightly as it did?

Great topic. It even didn't take me hours to think about what to write. It might not be the most interesting topic, but it is essential for my world, so I will go with it. Three days is not much time, but I guess you will still get a looooot of entries for this.

So, you realise you forced me to start with Mirinthas magic ahead of time? This was supposed to be part of WE, but now it is not. As I had to make pictures for all the spells, I barely hit the 200 word minimum, but I made it ... I think, forgot to count the words in the English translation. Whatever, here we go:
