Ruins of Iztek
Iztek was an extension of the great city of Hexoatal until it fell to ruin when the followers of Bane, The Conqueror and Torog, The Maiden of Pain. As a last ditch attempt to stop the attackers from making it to Hexoatal, the defenders used their arcane ability to release a deadly magical weapon on the attackers, instantly killing themselves and the attacking armies.
The opening released the great servant of Teritus, The Plague Lord , Zuggtmoy the Defiled. Almost instantly, dangerous spores were released, spreading quickly. The arcane wards that surrounded Hexoatal were enough to protect it at first. Yet, it took great effort from the Saurians and the Slann to contain the outbreak of demonic energy originating from Iztek.
Now the spread of Zuggtmoy is mostly contained to the ruins, thanks to the efforts of the Saurians of Hexoatal, but occasionally a hapless adventurer will find their way into the ruins, and become another one of Zuggtmoy's unwilling followers.
