General Omen
"You mortals can be manipulated into performing all kinds of atrocities. And there's nothing like a good atrocity to keep a war going."Climbing his way through the ranks of Ashfell with exceptional strength and cunning, Omen served as a general of infernals under Nefar - Primarch of Hatred. He had the honour of leading a legion of Infernals into the Mortal Realm as part of the united invasion known as The Crimson Harvest; a fact that he reveled in. The idea of a wholly united Infernal army was something that Omen had always dreamed of, and as such he was more than eager to demonstrate his power and ability as a general. During the invasion, Omen was unexpectedly impressed by the effort the mortals made to unite and fight with each other; protecting those that they had no affiliation with. What had taken the Infernals thousands of years to accomplish mortalkind achieved in a matter of days during the Crimson Harvest. Much to Omen’s dismay, his dream of a united Infernal army was short lived, as the invasion failed due to the return of brutal in-fighting amongst the Infernal ranks. Upon return to Ashfell, Nefar and many of the other Primarchs placed blame upon Omen for the invasion’s failure. As punishment, Omen was imprisoned and slowly drained of Anima over the course of years; a fitting example to any Infernals with the same ambition Omen possessed. Seeking out worthy, strong vessels for his Alphacian resurrection project, Alex / Arcturus arrived in Ashfell and found Omen. A husk drained of all life, yet still possessing a shell-like body; Omen was the perfect candidate. Leading the other members of the 'Seven project' to rebel against Alex shortly after they were resurrected, Omen was intrigued by the information they had gained on the Lightbringer, and endeavored to use his newfound “family” to gain that power. With it, he could breach The Barrier of Providence, return to Ashfell, and finally achieve what he had glimpsed only briefly before: a united, harmonized Infernal race. To gain their cooperation, Omen also promised to fulfill the desires of the other members of the Seven once the power of the Lightbringer was his. Omen's search for Primordial Light brought him and the 'Seven' into conflict with The Sanctioned; eventually he and the adventuring party confronted each other underneath Olor Castle in Oreion. Wanting to re-activate a Hell Gate to Ashfell he had found there, Omen planned to use slaughters in the Oreion Civil War to open the portal. He was slain by the Sanctioned in an ensuing confrontation, his dream of a united Ashfell never to be realized.
