Harvest Home

Harvest Home is an autumn holiday in Azimuth. It is celebrated yearly on 22 Sadaena, which is the autumnal equinox. It is a festival holiday at the closing of the harvest season often celebrated with a great communal feast.

Effects of Holiday

The barriers between the Material Plane and the other planes of Azimuth have been known to become thinner during the annual solstices and equinoxes: Wild Gathering, Sun's Bounty, Harvest Home, and Winter's Feast.
This has been shown to generate new planar portals in some cases, though it is unclear if these are sustainable or only temporary gateways.

History

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings

On 22 Sedaena 5A 351, Bridon Tillage celebrated Harvest Home with a number of festival and farming activities, including feasts and meals, a mule parade, crop competitions, and a maypole.
Beneath the town, a planar portal between the Material Plane and Nadiria, the Plane of Darkness, was formed as a result of the thinning of barriers between the planes. The opening continued to grow over the next days, until it was later closed on 25 Sedaena 5A 351 by the Turnip Tillers.
