The
Parapet Walk is an open walkway ledge along the long wall section of
Calen Estel overlooking the Fjord docks below. A number of wooden cranes and pulley systems are set in this area for the transport of goods to and from the cty and docks.
Description
On the edge of the Landing section of Calen Estel is a straight-line stone ledge of repeating parapets that overlooks the Fjord and docks below. The stark line is contrasted by the rough and jagged ledge seen on the opposite side of the bay. The city-side of each individual parapet is equipped with an inset sconce with enchanted light, which illuminates the Walk at night.
All along this parapet edge are a number of wooden towers with all sorts of beams and extensions and pulley systems that lead over the edge. These pulleys hold many ropes, nets, and transport pallets for the transfer of goods to and from the Landing and the Fjord.
The section of the Landing district closest to the Parapet Walk is open with no buildings, though there is a stone access entrance to the
Column Stairs. This area appears to be reserved for the movement of cargo and contains dedicated space for the transport pallets used by the pulleys.
On the southern edge of the Parapet Walk is the connecting bridge leading to
Lothered's Lighthouse.
