Calen Estel
Calen Estel is an elven colony and port city in the Queendom of Keeleon. It is located in the Serra Coast region of Tarteria, on the coast of the Azimuth Ocean.
Description
Calen Estel is located on the eastern coast of the Serra Coast, which is a rocky, elevated sheer ledge that drops off to pebble shoals and jagged spikes of earth and boulder that have eroded and fallen down to the sea. The colony itself sits on the edge of a 200-foot cliff on a rocky, elevated sheer ledge of chalky white and sandy red limestone bands. Many of the buildings in the colony use the distinctive whites and azure colors and the sloping, art nouveau building style favored by the elves. The buildings are trimmed in reflective golds and the blue shingles of the roofs stand out against the ruddy cliffs. Calen Estel has blossomed into the major trading hub on the coast, eclipsing Alena's Landing, and the Queendom is reliant on the city as a trade hub.The Fjord and the Landing
At the edge of the city, a column of limestone stands out into the sea, holding Lothered's Lighthouse, which shines light out into the sea for nearby ships. Around this spire is a line of tumbled and eroded limestone boulders and rocks around the base, which waves crash against. It forms an embankment that protects the inner fjord that holds the city's docks. The docks are permanent stone structures and have space for a number of ships at a time. At the base of the cliff is a wide area used by the pulley systems from the Parapet Walk above for the movement of cargo. There are no buildings or structures on the docks themselves, though there are a few areas used by the docktenders. Above, the cliff face leading up to the city is a constructed building set into the limestone. The area nearest to this in the city above is called the Landing, and contains many wooden towers with beams and extensions that hold large pulleys and platforms for the movement of cargo quickly to and from the docks.- The Column Stairs: These stairs form a walkway from the lower docks up to the Landing above. Inside is a statue shrine to Sehakora, The Maelstrom.
- Parapet Walk: The open walkway ledge is called the Parapet Walk, and is mostly used as a loading and unloading area for crew and cargo using the many pulley platforms.
- Lothered's Lighthouse: This lighthouse shines light out to the Azimuth Ocean for approaching ships. It sits on a column of limestone and is connected to the Parapet Walk by a thin bridge.
Manorwalk Quarter
The Manorwalk Quarter is the higher end area of the colony on the northern side of the city. It is elevated from the rest of the city and visually a step above in construction to the buildings in the Ingress Ward and around the Parapet Walk.- Whitestone Embassy: This embassy houses the elven ambassador for Calen Estel, Olathana Sollol.
- The Galleria Magnifico at the Sapphire Palazzo: The Palazzo is a well-constructed manor containing a large art gallery.
Ingress District
The Ingress District is the main access to the city along the Queen's Road in the western side of the city. A number of inns and merchants and elven smiths are set in this area that cater to incoming traffic. Farther from the Queen's Road are a number of houses and smaller shops.- Phoenix's Flight: An enchanter shop run by Celanoth Thoromel.

Demographics
There is a large elf population that resides in the city, along with travelling merchants of many races that choose this port over Alena's Landing farther west along the coast. Other races like half-orcs, orcs, and humans, as well as adventuring parties, can be seen on the streets of the city. The city guard of Calen Estel are called the Cliff Guard.Notable People

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings
Under the stated purpose of intending to help facilitate the trade of goods back into Keeleon after the war, the elves set up an outpost on the Serra Coast to secure a safe landing place for their trade ships, as Port Haville was still under reconstruction and too far from the seat of government, and the smaller establishment of Alena's Landing was said to not house the needed defenses for the elves’ security. Initially a blessing, the steady presence of the elves gave the orcs a jumpstart. However, tensions have been rising as Calen Estel has blossomed into the major trading hub on the coast, eclipsing Alena's Landing. On 23 Madaet 5A 352, Ilmendwyth arrived in town on the ship, the Amarth'rilain. He met Celanoth Thoromel at his shop and infiltrated Lothered's Lighthouse to rescue Rudok, before quickly leaving town on the Amarth'rilain to sea.
