The Time the Eight Dragons Had Tea

The Time the Eight Dragons Had Tea is a comedic illustrated story written by the elvish author Trawlana "Snuggleshine" under the pen name "Teakitisu". It was described it as “a blasphemous telling” of a fictional tea time encounter involving the Dragon pantheon of Azimuth. It is stylized after an illustrated children's book, complete with watercolor images, however the content is written for an adult audience.   As of 3 Adroth 5A 352, the book had yet to be published but was nearing completion.

Summary

Trawlana described it as “a blasphemous telling,” and it immediately starts cashing in on that premise. No time is spent setting up why all eight Dragons of the Azimuth pantheon are having tea in a little bookstore coffeeshop, and jumps right into how it quickly devolves, all in the guise of an illustrated children’s book.   Esturk, The World's End, and Chedae, The Heaven's Light, immediately start bickering and squabbling over the sugar cubes for the tea. Esturk wants whatever Chedae is getting, and she’s saying for as long as she’s alive he’s not getting any. So Esturk says, “Your daddy said the same thing.”   Meanwhile, Sehakora, The Maelstrom, with her shining crescent moon horns is playing dragon-tail footsy with both the strong, silver metallic Barduumus, The Battlelord, and the red scaled Avianor, The Timefather, who are both enamored.   On one side of the table, the soft and green Gaia, The Allmother, is sharing her wildberry scones with the white and gaunt Nerull, The Scythe-Bearer. And all the while, Morounin, The Learned-Lady, is furiously writing down each and every moment that the narrator describes.   As the story continues, it does get lost a bit, and a few things that feel a bit unfinished. Overall, the sense that the narrator gives is one exploring the questions of how relatable a deity can be and if they have the same type of motivations and desires that mortals do, or if they are beyond understanding.   And through all those glimmers of deeper meanings are the sex innuendos and petty squabbling.
