The
Zenethian Axe is one of the divine
Zenethian Items created by
Zenthai, The Dragon King, during the
Great War. The axe was destroyed during the reforging of these items in the Fourth Age.
Description
The axe was described as a crystalline, green axe fashioned in the likeness of a Dragonwing. The handle and hilt of the weapon was solid and unyielding golden plate.
History
The Third Age: The Age of Zenethia
When the threat of
Esturk, The World's End, proved too great at the end of the Third Age,
Zenthai, The Dragon King, elevated the six
Zenethian Champions and from his own divine heart he forged six crystalline weapons of holy power. For
Ruin, Zenthai crafted the Zenethian Axe.
After the events of the Great War, the power held in the Zenethian Armor slowly faded over time. Ruin hid this item in
Ruin's Temple in the
Fire Spire Sands to await his progeny.
The Fourth Age: The Age of Shadow
In 4A 995, the
Zenethian Heroes reached the lands of
Tarteria. They rescued an orcish wise woman from
Port Haville named
Agatha. She was a seer and forsaw the Heroes journey would draw them to the Fire Spire Sands in the southwest of the land. Rath used the Dragonhide gloves he received for his sixteenth birthday to touch the Heart of the Desert, a great ball of heat energy. Ruin's Temple was protected by huge air elementals, but the area was also under attack from demons from
Esturk, The World's End. After fighting through a three-way combat, Rath transported the Heart of the Desert to four stone towers in the sands, banishing their foes and opening the way to the center chamber. Here, Rath claimed the Zenethian Axe.
Reforged
In 4A 996, the Heroes collected all the Zenethian Items. With Zenthai's blessing, the original relics were reforged into new and powerful forms. The Zenethian Axe was lost forever.
