Mother River

Often simply called "Mother" or "The River," the Mother River is the lifeblood of Valês' Anvil. Without it, not even the small settlements on its banks would survive. 
These settlements are mainly small trading posts, with little in the way of amenities. They are chiefly concerned with taking the mineral wealth of the Sunrise Mountains to the east, whence Mother flows, to the the main trading depots in the west.
