The Birth of the World

The Beginning

It is this day that is traditionally marked as the beginning of the world.

In the High Circle, beyond the beyond, Ah, Savant of Chaos, and Oh, Savant of Order, the twin creation forces of the universe, sang to one another. After a time, which might have been a minute or a millennium, the twin songs of Ah and Oh harmonized and from this cosmic symphony, the twin sibling-parents of all the gods, Yesha the All-Father and Protector, and Oma the All-Mother, were born.   In the days and months that followed, Yesha and Oma loved one another and, as two beings who do, made children. They birthed Sil, the Sun; Demeytha, the Earthmother; Dharram, the Faceless (often called The Unloved and the Moon Sisters, who guide the three satellites of Azthir-Terra across the sky and dancing in time with the echoes of the music of Ah and Oh.   From these rhythms and cycles more gods arose. First were the twins of the First Circle, Fryel, Goddess of Dawn and Silka, Goddess of the Night.   Here we should note that in the Forgotten Lands, on other far side of the globe, Yesha and Oma created a new race of children. Neither gods nor animals, they were men and women, and they were young, violent, hungry for dominion over all the world. But they had neither the knowledge or the ability to impose that will. Yet.   As humans began to stir in the world, other children of Yesh and Oma, the Life Warders, grew with them, to guide and to protect the new life rippling across the face of Azthir-Terra. There was Ka'al, Goddess of Childbirth; Enkili, God of Time and Sickness; and Peh, the Weeper, who takes the souls of those who pass over into the lands of unloved Dharram.
