Ana Jarvis (a.k.a. Karakurt)
Ana is the cook and housekeeper of the Stark Fmaily at Stark Manor. She also is Tony's second mother and helped raise him along with Maria Stark, Howard Stark, and Edwin Jarvis. She mothers anyone who enters into her circle unless they threaten someone under her care, at which point, she became a bit of a tigress.
At some point she does inform Howard of her past if only to warn him of the women who had been after him. He knew and didn't care. She pledges her loyalty to Tony at this point and never strays from this. When the Red Room operative was involved in an attack on Tony in London, she reached out and threatened her contacts. When Tony was further threatened at his birthday party in May 1994, she killed the culprit. Then she tracked down her contact and left her permanently paralyzed as a message for the Red Room that she hadn't lost her touch.
She also takes in Jo Rhodes, cousin of Rhodey that was born Josh but is now Ms Jo and trying to figure out how to live accepted as a woman. Ana taught her to become the cook for the Stark Family.
She utilizes all her skills in profiling and manipulation to help James Rogers recover from his own brainwashing, having heard of his program prior to leaving the Covert world. She comes to view him with similar view as Tony and leaves James all the documents and proof upon her death.
Throughout her life as Ana Jarvis she kept a journal by writing as letters to various people in her life. She left a collection of them, mostly written to James, for James upon her death as a final message and to give him the information to continue her work to protect Tony.
In 1995, she is diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and dies late in the year followed a few days later by her husband. Throughout her time with James she writes Ana Letters to James which she leaves him in a safety deposit box in her will.

Personal history
Ana Jarvis was born in the Ukraine in 1915. She was an orphan left at a local church which was a front for a KGB training facility later known as Red Room. She was among the first to graduate from the Red Room under the the control of Madam B. Her code name was Karakurt which is the European Black Widow. As part of the Red Room, she underwent early biological manipulation to lengthen her youth but it made medical care during her cancer later in life impossible.
She was responsible for several assassinations during WWII on behalf of the Cheka (KGB predecessor). Following the war, she remained behind the scenes in the USA before being assigned the Starks after 4 others failed. Ana spent a great deal of time helping Howard Stark and later Maria Stark try to stay healthy as they helped everyone and Maria lost her first pregnancy. Ana fell in love with Edwin and the household. When Edwin learned of Maria's pregnancy, he confronted Ana. Upon repeatedly asked what she wanted, not just with this mission but out of life, she broke down, claiming to want nothing more than the family life her cover had.
Edwin agreed to marry her and the two fell further in love. Shortly after the birth of Tony Stark, they left the Starks in a well-protected hospital to travel and collect the documents and information needed to free Ana permanently from the Red Room as well as earn protection for the Stark family.
