At age 13 he started working at the docks, first as a runner. At age 16 he joined the CCC working to pay for food for his sisters. He worked in both places until he was drafted 10 years later.
Drafted into the US Army December 1942, sent to European theater July 1943 as a tech sergeant with an emphasis on Sniping. Next of kin listed, Steven Grant Rogers, aka Captain America. Also his best friend. He was in the same squad as Dum Dum Dugan Date of disappearance: February 2nd, 1945 in the Danube River
As The Winter Soldier
He was found by HYDRA and captured. They replaced his lost arm and wiped him, turning him into a Winter Soldier . In the late 70s, he is forced to impregnate a woman to produce super children. During this experiment 3 things are learned. The Serum damages y chromosomes in his sperm, him to having sex undoes years of conditioning, and his child wasn't born withthe Serum. @Ying Liu is given tot he Red Room to raise. James later recognizes her during trianing and secrets her out without being caught. he leaves her with a HYDRA scientist who help her conception and they disappear. Ying later appears at PymTech. He was awakened in the late 80s to train Red Room Operatives (as he had done sporadically over theyears). This is when he met Natasha Romanova.
