Charles Xavier was born to Dr Brian Xavier and Sharon. After Brian's death, Sharon remarried Kurt Marko, who came to live with them along with Cain Marko. Charles psychic abilities formed young as a result of the loss of his father.
Charles earned a PhD in Biophysic and genetics at Oxford before joining the VIetnam war. He earned distinction there with his troops and encountered his step brother again. Cain was a traitor and a deserter and Charles unsuccessfully convinced him to return.
Following his tour in Vietnam ('74), Charles spent some time helping search and rescue in the middle east, which is where he met Erik Lehnsherr. The man had been recovering form the death of his wife and daughter (616 history) and the two started a deep friendship.
Upon hearing of the deatho f his mother, Charles returned home to Canada in 1980s, bringing with him Logan, Moira, Ororo Monroe and ... to start a place where mutants(Metas) could train and learn and grow.
He finds Jean Grey in 1988, Scott Summers in 1989

They met in the middle east shortly after Erik losthis family. They worked together to understand the physics of their abilities. Thre was always a spark, but Erik's heart was too raw. Later, when Erik and his children Joined Charles in Canada, they rekindled their friendship and took it further.
