History
Þrín has long been an important settlement for goblins, beginning as the main settlement of their earliest civilization, Æþúb, later functioning as the capital of the vast empire of Onþók, and while the city of Tæx functioned as the capital of Ama later on, Þrín remained an important site, and since the Fell Wars forty years ago, it has become one of the most important ports in Jælondis and Borgalor in general.

Architecture
While stone structures dating back to the aman empire can be found in Þrín, the city's buildings are predominantly wooden stilt houses or at least derived from such style, though the lower floor and stilts may be built out of stone as well. Roofs are diverse in terms of shape and materials depending on the period they were built, ranging from bark or timber to stone- or clay tiles, and elements such as door- and window frames are often brightly painted.
Reconstructions of the oldest form of goblin houses, simple A-frame structures on stilts, can be seen near the National Museum.
