Ójom

Njóþic: Ójom /ouːjɔːm/
Ójom is a vast region that encompasses the woodlands, hills and marshes that cover much of eastern Jælondis, bordered by the Qug Mountains to the west, Ytvía to the southwest, the Þnisic Sea to the west and Þjan Tundra to the north.
Today, the land is primarily home to lowland Dwarves and Goblins in the hinterlands and along the coastline, respectively, with the traditional boundaries between the two civilizations being the river Úkún and Bexran Lake. The main countries of the former are Kikra and Ninnirt Zö, and Biþræ and Terúk of the latter.
Several groups of Humans are native to Ójom as well, scattered throughout the region due to millennia of shifting alliances during the long-standing conflicts between the goblin and dwarven states.

Geography

A number of rivers flow through the region, many of which are navigable for the most part and have long served as highways for the inhabitants in a land that is otherwise characterized by rough terrain, harsh weather (particularly to the west) and often dangerous wildlife.
As a result, Ójom is less densely populated than most other areas in Jælondis, with most settlements being concentrated around certain rivers, lakes and the coast, and the pristine wilderness has been the source of inspiration for myriad artists for centuries, local and foreign alike. However, this environment is now threatened by the growing demand for magic crystals, minerals and alchemical ingredients to power modern borgalorean industry.

Fauna & Flora

Notable wildlife in the region includes Wyverns, bears, northern and least Gryphons, Monoceroses, Coruscate Deer and Mandrakes.
