Port D'Or (Port De-Or)
Renamed from Gold Tooth Warf to Port D'Or following the Imperial occupation of the island in early 850 MOR / 4 DIV, this port is an imperial colony focused on the harvesting of resources from the island with the intent to act as a forward naval base and supply port in the southern Maelstrom Sea.
Guilds and Factions
The Bright Ministry. Following Aestara's aquisition of the port, one of the first orders of business was to establish and office for the imperial beaurocracy. The Regulus of this establishment is now in charge of the port until a lord or other leader is established (if one is named).
Blackburn Wildflowers. While not an active force in the port anymore, there are those who claim there are dark corners and hidden stashes where the Wildflowers keep business.
Church of Humanity. Also known as the Faith of the God-Emperor, another order of business that was taken care of upon the port's conquest was the estabilishment of a temple to the God-Emperor, Sigmund the Exalted.

History
The area around the town was originally set up as a smuggler's hideaway for pirates and similar less-than-lawful folk. When the pirate Captain Farin Goldtooth arrived, he took advantage of a hidden fjord formed out of the coast and deep into the island in order to set up a place of business for those ne'er-do-wells who sail there, thinking he would create the second Orakore on the other side of the sea. As time passed, the island became popular point of trade among not only pirates, but merchants, privateers, and eventually military ships to the point that long after Captain Goldtooth's death his secluded village of illegality became a law-abiding trade port in a less traveled portion of the Maelstrom Sea.
Many pirates and privateers find the idea of docking there to be too risky with the history the port now has of "playing nice" with the authorities of the surrounding governments and militaries.

From Private Port to Imperial Colony
In late 849 MOR (3 DIV) to early 850 MOR (4 DIV), the Imperial Navy of Aestara occupied the town of Gold Tooth Warf, claiming the land for their god and emperor Sigmund the Exalted. Their enactment of Imperial law was swift, any arcane items, knowledge, and practitioners destroyed and executed. In early 850 MOR, the knowledge of the change of governance of the island had not been made widely known, catching any ships that travelled there unaware, as the Empire set to work on extorting the resources of the island for their fleet and for a supply line in the south.Architecture
The structures here are made mostly of wood with simple architecture with the main goal of fending off the heat of the sun and summer. Large overhangs, pitched, high roofs, open spaces to allow air flow, and natural shade from the surrounding trees for as much shade as possible.
The Imperials have introduced some of their own architecture and design to the town by incorporating statuary, and a few larger buildings built up with stone as well as wood.

Geography
Port D'Or is well protected by its natural geography. The port is settled on a small lake at the end of a narrow fjord or canyon that runs several hundred feet into the island around bends concealing bends to the sea beyond. The port itself it built up a steep incline before it levels off. A large amount of the forest has been built around to give natural shade to the homes.
Climate
Tropical to subtropical climate, humid, rainy, cool winters, hot summers.
