Freighters are classed by a number representing the total deadweight carrying capacity of the vessel (in hundred thousand of tons). This is then followed by a letter indicated the type of cargo the craft is intended to carry:

E: Energy
G: Gasses
L: Liquids
O: Other
S: Solids
M: Military

Warnings:
a: Acidic
e: Explosive
f: Flamable
s: Supermassive
t: Toxic

Freighter Codes:
Blue: New Earth Global Alliance
Red: Mazriata
Orange: Vruxari Empire
White: Martian People’s Republic
Cyan: Theocratic Vestal Hierocracy
Black: Trojaran L5 Alliance

Currently Carrying Code (CCC):

C- Construction Supplies
Fo- Food/Perishables
Fu- Fuel
G- Gases
M- Metals
O- Oxygen

Each type designation is then followed immediately by a number repressing the amount of the item onboard (in tons).
