The Clankbang Foundry
An eccentric collective of mages, engineers, inventors, and probably at least a few madmen, the Clankbang Foundry is an organization (mostly) dedicated to the betterment of the city. The main proprietors of Magitech, Clankbang provides and maintains many of the devices around the city that make living easy for the people. Ultimately, though, due to the loose leadership and the open access of resources to employees, there's plenty of independent troublemakers and sub-factions who have less than altruistic goals in mind for the city.
Structure
The Clankbang Foundry is only loosely organized, with a light hierarchy of authority. At the very top is the Smartleader, who determines the general direction of the guild and has free reign to pursue their own projects. Below them are the Clangjacks, who report directly to the Smartleader and usually run the regional foundries. Clangjacks manage the Whirrbuddies, who function as senior engineers that do most of the advanced legwork in the guild, and below them are the Ummgears, who are the rank and file of the organization, and may perform any duty from fetching Hummwhirr for their superiors to precision welding of delicate equipment.
Culture
Clankbang engineers tend to view the rest of the city as a collection of misguided souls, caring little for the politics or repercussions of their actions and seeking to help before anything else. They don't ask permission very often, often believing that help is help regardless of how much the recipient wants or needs it, which has led to many catastrophes and accidents over the years. They're rarely apologetic, though, and often times diplomacy only ever occurs if their Smartleader intervenes in any interactions they're having.
Public Agenda
The Clankbang Foundry aims to serve and service the whole of Doreymos, bringing them in to a new age of enlightenment and progress, from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs. Ideally, they would also like everyone else to be on the same page, but some sub-factions may improve the lives of others without their consent on knowledge.
Assets
Due to poor bookkeeping, it's hard to gauge just how many assets the Clankbang Foundry is in possession of. It's safe to say, however, that they're rarely ever very liquid in their financial assets, with most of it tied up in inventions, property, and property damage expenses.

Good Terms
The Clankbang Foundry likes the Jhal Collective more than the other way around. They often work together on projects that marry mechanical and biological, or that require large quantities of some substance or device that can only be acquired from the other guild. However, the Clankbang Foundry's chaotic approach to science often rubs Jhal the wrong way, with many labeling them as a 'necessary evil' or a 'nuisance,' while some Clankbangs think that the Jhal are just a tad too stuffy.
Research Agreement
The Scaleborn and the Clankbang both seek knowledge and perfection to some degree, and while their philosophies on reaching that point differ, they're willing to put their differences aside to facilitate research in either direction.
Friendly
The 4th Embry appreciates the Clankbang Foundry's contributions to the city, but their unpredictable nature does wear thin on them sometimes. Meanwhile, while the Clankbang are happy to help the Embry, they do wish that they'd stop arresting their top minds for property destruction. It's mostly their own property they're blowing up, after all.
Legal Warfare
The Ember Corps are tired of the Clankbang causing property destruction and other magitech accidents wherever they set up. The Clankbang are tired of the Ember Corps arresting them for breaking the laws against blowing up your own laboratory. They don't hate each other, but they definitely don't make each other's jobs easier.
Open War
The Wasteling Bones were largely formed from survivors of the magitech atrocities inflicted by the 3rd Embry, and associate the wanton magitech research performed by the Clankbang with that unfortunate past. The Clankbang don't outright hate the Bones, but do wish they'd stop attacking them and their new facilities.
Business Partnership
The Clankbang Foundry loves to take out loans, but due to their shoddy paperwork often forgets to repay them. When they make their payments back, whether by force or by pure luck, they're a profitable business partner, but the Bank of Doreymos still struggles to treat the Foundry with kindness.
One-sided Trade
Clankbang shipments are extremely profitable on the black market. The Young Dead, however, aren't big fans of paying for said shipments, and while they're frequent customers, the Clankbang rarely receive compensation for their hard work outside of rude gifts on their doorstep.
Uneasy peace
The Clankbang Foundry strongly disagrees on the Cult of Ikon's stances on murder, wanton debauchery, and general destruction. They don't even do it for a good reason! The Cult of Ikon wonders why those goblins the next district are always sending them angry letters packaged with exploding toasters, and not just selling them the exploding toasters.
