Episode 64

General Summary

• With 7 days to go before Glacious Day, the party decide to spend some time shopping and preparing for the festivities
• Leah begins preparations for creating a hedge maze behind the Water Dragon Tavern, and hires some bards to perform there too. She also spends some money to ensure that many of the city's less-fortunate are fed on the day
• The group visit the University of Magic to see what magic items they have in stock. Purchase a Doss Lute for Veda and a Big-Fisted Belt for Godric. Leah buys some fire-resistant chainmail for Templar Taenaran
• Godric speaks with Commander Ariadne Knightsbridge, and asks about whether she thinks The Goddess wants him to kill "the lady who fell from the sky and thinks she's a god"
• Ariadne suggests speaking to Knight-Commander Devianne about matters of faith, but repeats that the role of the Knights is to uphold the law and protect its citizens, not to act on religious beliefs
• Speaking to Devianne, the Knight-Commander re-iterates what Ariadne said, before being interrupted by a troubled guard. It seems that Greta Boulderfist has escaped her cell
• Rushing to the cells, it is confirmed that Greta has indeed disappeared. Her cell is still locked however, and nobody saw or heard anything
• As guards begin rushing about the city looking for the escaped dwarf, Veda, Leah and Marty each catch wind of the break-out, and assist in the searching
• The searches are all in vain. Marty, transformed into a Hell Hound, does pick up the scent of a sweet perfume outside of the Order's building however, near Greta's cell. With her keen senses, she detects that Greta must have had help in escaping, and magically disappeared
• Meanwhile, in the south of the city, people begin screaming and fleeing as a huge mechanical spider races through the streets. It catches sight of Eva, and charges for her
• A short battle ensues, with Eva falling unconscious
• The warlock awakes to find herself... in hell. Suspended on a floating platform, Eva regards a sprawling city directly below her, in the middle of a desolate wasteland. Other cities can be seen in the distance, one of which seems to disappear, leaving nothing but a cloud of dust
• Hearing a familiar voice, Eva turns to see Envy. The archdevil seems to be in his "true form", and gives Eva a dire warning about not fulfilling her part of their bargain. He removes the cursed amulet, and tells Eva that he will be watching more closely from now on. Should Eva try to get out of the pact again, he will be forced to detain her in hell until the child is born. At which point, it is unclear whether she would be allowed to leave, or see the same fate as her "old body"
• Eva is pushed over the edge of the platform, but lands softly in her bed 
• A note left from Valance tells her that the tiefling got the job at the university, and can be found there if needed
• Leah arrives, after discovering that Eva was attacked by a giant spider, and some catching up is had on both sides
• Veda visits The Lover's Nest to ask about Lust's invitation. She shares a drink and agrees to try and bring Godric along on the 30th Decin
• At her home, Ely Lunam asks if Avacyn, Angel of Hope and "Dermot" could possibly move into the tower, as he is struggling with babysitting 2 somewhat celestial beings. Avacyn has had some success working with Dermot, and believes there are some secrets locked away in the Nephilim's head. Her weakened magic is not strong enough to unlock them however
• Godric buys some custom-made cat beanies, and delivers them to the palace. Olwyn Orbeck happily accepts her, but Valkia Orbeck is somewhat reluctant
• Godric gives the map of the wider world to the queen, who regards it with fascination. She suggests sharing the map with Tobur Fûne so that these new continents may be explored in the new year
• Veda finds Godric, and asks about visiting the Lover's Nest at the end of the year, but Godric refuses. Something else happens during this exchange...
• Marty sets up a bank account with the Platinum Vaults, depositing a large amount of gold for the local orphanage. Whilst there, she notices that a lot of the gnomes are sporting bruises and other injuries
• Eva looks for Harmony, but is told by the front desk at the Order of the Shield that the young bard left a couple of days ago
• She also heads to the Airdock to speak to Tobur Fûne. Tobur is happy to see Eva once more, and looks much better himself. He confirms that the Airdock should be operational by the end of Unmin, and he would be delighted to take the party to Carestalan as part of their maiden voyage.
• Glacious Day arrives, and the party meet at Eva's tavern to exchange their gifts, and begin a day of festivities.
• Atlas receives a magical toolbox, with various tools inside
• Eva receives a red cat beanie
• Leah receives a never-wilting flower crown
• Veda receives a stuffed tiefling ballerina doll, which dances when music is played
• Godric receives a cat charm made to look like Hope, which can be attached to his glaive
• Marty receives a portrait of Eva Monroe, that sings her greatest hits when the word "Perfect" is spoken
