Sailor

You have sailed on a seagoing vessel for years. In that time, you have faced down mighty storms, monsters' of the deep and those who wanted to sink your craft to the bottomless depths. Your first love is the distant line of the horizon, but the time has come to try your hand at something new. Due to the extremely dangerous nature of the vast oceans, you have mostly stuck closer to the coast of Aygess. Vessels that set off for the distant continents never return. Perhaps the ship you were on was a merchant ship carrying goods from port to port looking for a profit, a naval vessel patrolling for the dangers that can come from the oceans, or perhaps a Pirate ship looking to pray on merchant ships and under defended ports.
Your experience in a ocean bound life gives you added advantage in seeking the aide of other sailors. You also know the routes between locations by oceans. You can usually convince a ship's captain to give you and your party passage to a location they are heading in excahnge for assisting the crew during the sailing. A sailors life can be a rough one, but the responsibilities of life abourd a ship can really shape you. You will want to determine what role you serve on a ship, for no person aboard a ship serves no purpose, except perhaps a landlubber who booked passage.
