The Dinescape Rebellion

The Warlords of Oryn that held the Dinescape dessert faced intense revolution, that eventually lead to their deaths. The other Warlords of Oryn loosely united to attempt to take down this alliance, though a group of wizards and sorcerers, who were moved by pleas from the alliance, came to assist, and held back the Warlords.

The people of Dinescape dessert and the wizards began to push back against the other warlords. To protect themselves, the Warlords agreed to be united behind one of the strongest and wisest Warlords, Riepu. Whom was appointed as Emperor and granted the right to direct the other Warlords, to whom took the new title of Marshal.
  The Emperor sacrificed his massive army, which was split into the other factions, still loyal to the Emperor, but serving for him amongst the other troops. This spread loyalty, and tales of his brilliance among all the factions, and ensured the Marshals continued loyal actions.
  This allowed each of the Marshals to shore up their defenses. The fortress of Blizhelm, built originally during the rule of Azar, was given a large portion of troops. To the protection of the Emperor, who had given his army, the Marshals would dispatch some of their strongest warriors to join together. This army would come to build a fort, which they named after the first Emperor, on the edge of the northern foot hills of the Esternach Mountain Range.
  The Mages built the tower of Sand's End, not far from the the Fort of Riepu, right on the edge of the dessert and the foothills of the same mountains. They remained in a stalemate for about two centuries.
