Fey

Fey are various Magical Creatures with origins from The Feywild Realm closely tied to the forces of nature and the elements. They usually dwell in twilight groves and misty forests of Esau. Most still reside within The Feywild Realm, and others live in the Feywild Expanse of Kutloc. While quite a few have entered the Prime Material Plane of Esau people do not tend to realise they are there, much of the time - plus they still are closely tied to The Feywild Realm, also called the Plane of Faerie. Yet some prefer to reside in the Outer Planes, particularly the planes of Arborea and the Beastlands.

They may be member of the Court of One Million Stars, the Court of Shadow, the Court of the Dawn, or a few chose to dissociate from the three courts. These Fey no longer want to be part of the entirety of The Feywild Realm.

Fey or Fae, as many prefer to be called, are creatures of any size, shape, texture, or smell, that exemplify a nature of The Feywild Realm. They go by many names, like "Green Folk", "Fair Folk", "People of Peace", sometimes "Wee folk". They are not just fairies, Pixies, sprites and brownies.

There are many different species of Fey, and connections between them can be hard to identify, other than all being or having been natives of The Feywild Realm. A few common threads can be drawn between certain smaller groups, however, while some are simply impossible to classify.

Some fey are strongly bound or associated with specific natural locations such as water bodies, landmarks, or other geographical features. These included dryads, nymphs, naiads, and oreads.

Other fey are reported as being born from emotions felt while in The Feywild Realm, manifested due to that plane's strange energy. Redcaps, meenlocks, and boggles are all included in this group.

Another group that is easily identified are the Hags - although a Night Hag, is actually a Fiend.

Reuven Fey = These are older Fey known to like to live on the Prime Material Plane of Esau, near small settlements. They are strong, joyous and good with animals, especially goats - work hard in short burst, and have a great love of music and drinking.

Common Etiquette Rules

Dealing With Fey
Harmless trickery by the fairies and other fey includes: leading a weary traveller astray, removing marks put down by people, tangling the hair of people in their sleep into fairy-locks, stealing small items, and putting them back in odd places.
Dark and deadly tricks by the fey include: kidnapping, sudden scares leading to death, leading a person into danger, and plainly causing death due to any reason or in a situation.
• The fairies become weak and vulnerable in the presence of cold iron and pure silver which is why iron is the best sort of protection against fairies. The reason that iron works best against fairies is that it has some naturally defensive properties that make the fairies lose their power.
In defence against the fairies, one could use enchantments, Rowan Trees, protective charm body jewellery, church bells, horseshoes, and four-leaf clovers. The charms, bells, and horseshoes are made of ironwork best. Weapons made of cold iron or pure silver provide the mostly dealy protection.
• Some fey are sweet, helpful, and lovable characters; however, this is not always the case with all fey. Often it depends of which Court the fey is aligned and their mood at the time of the encounter.

History

The Elder tree is a powerful being positioned in between the courts of The Feywild Realm. The Elder Tree is connected to everything in The Feywild Realm and every fey. It existed in the Elder Days, long before the rest of The Feywild Realm - before Melora, The Wild Mother, and even Nokomis.

The elder tree sees the big picture and does not frequently choose a sides with any of the courts.

SOVEREIGN

The Sovereign of The Feywild Realm are all answerable to Melora, along with Nokomis.

King Thesan was the High Lord of the Dawn Court who "glowed the brightest of all" the High Lords - The first sovereign of the Fey in The Feywild Realm.

His successor was the Moonlit King from the Court of Shadow.

Then came Queen Áyne who is actually from the Court of One Million Stars. She became Sovereign when the Moonlit King was removed from the throne, and ruled for 990 years.

Titania (Tiandra) of the Court of the Dawn, became Sovereign when Queen Áyne chose to end her rule.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Many Druids and Warlocks have the power to reach into The Feywild Realm to a location on Esau, and temporarily bind a Fey spirit temporarily in their service.

Conjure Fey

Casting Time = 1 minute (concentration)
School: Conjuration
Damage/Effect: Summoning
Range: 90 feet
Attack/Save: None
Duration: 1 Hour
Level: 6th
Components: Verbal, Somatic

When a person casts this spell, they summon either a Fey creature or a Fey spirit in the form of a beast. The summoned creature or form the Fey creature takes must by CR 6 or lower.

The summoned entity appears in an unoccupied space within range that the caster can see. If the summoned creature drops to 0 hit points or the spell ends, it disappears.

The summoned Fey is friendly to you and your allies, obeying your verbal commands as long as those commands do not violate its alignment. If you do not command the Fey, it only defends itself but otherwise does not act.

The summoned Fey does not disappear if the caster’s concentration is broken, but their control over the creature ends, and it becomes immediately hostile to the caster.

An uncontrolled Fey cannot be dismissed by the caster and will only disappear at the end of the spell’s duration.

At Higher Levels.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the challenge rating increases by 1 for each slot level above 6th.
