Deerrest
In the heart of the Valley of Nehalenor, is a linden forest, which also hides the ancient orchard of Narmiraen. The woods are green from spring to autumn, but then its canopy turns yellow, almost like the Deerrest is merging with the Golden Glade.
This forest is rich in flowering plants and wild fruit trees and is home to many deer, wolves, and other animals.
Every year, the young Narmiron hunters and their families gather in Narmiraen's orchard to celebrate after Initiation Day the two weeks of the Summer Festival of Lady Narmiraen, the Night of a Thousand Stars.
The Samyr tribe welcomes the other tribe's hunters, who come to Deerrest with gifts specific to their homes. Besides the celebration and gift exchange, this is the biggest trade meeting between the tribes of Nehalenor, although barter is the typical commercial form. Deerrest is famous for its linden wine. Making wine from the linden flowers is a secret Samyr tradition.
The Thalas tribe lives on the border of the Deerrest and the Golden Glade.
