Corhext

Corhext serves as the de facto capital city of Dunwichia, as the largest and oldest city on the peninsula. The city pre-dates The Tempest , after which all other Dunwichian city-states were founded.

Demographics

The Corhextine population reflects the greater Dunwichan demographics, where humans and those of mixed racial backgrounds make up the majority.
However, being centrally located in this desert peninsula, there are fewer numbers of those races which favor the mountains, coasts, and islands, such as the Aarakocra, Yuan-Ti, or Tabaxi. Corhext also has a larger population of Dragonborn, Elven, Genasi, and Tiefling citizens, as compared to the other Dunwichian city-states.

Government

The Corhextine Governor, Governess Devi Hextana, rules the city-state with a council made up of the heads of other Corhextine noble families, as well as some elected and appointed officials.

Points of interest

The largest and oldest university on the continent is located in Corhext. Students from across Fennengath travel to Dunwichia hoping to pass the entrance exams.

Architecture

Many of the buildings in the oldest part of town predate The Tempest, including the Governor's manse, parts of the university campus, and the Mehtap Marketplace. These vary in style from newer buildings, though in Corhext, many newer building projects took inspiration from what was already there.
