The Gems are an archipelago that separates the Bay of Jewels and Dolkenrif Bay. The Gems are claimed by Dunwichia and under the protection of Adaircourt and the Adairan Navy.

The Gems are a volcanic archipelago, with only one island still exhibiting very rare volcanic activity.
History
After The Tempest, the native inhabitants of The Gems wanted to maintain independence. However, after the Tandielen fell to Erinia at the start of the Second Age, The Gems chose to ally with Adaircourt and allow the Adairan Navy to make use of their harbors rather than be victims of the Erinian Empire's expansion.
The location and resources of The Gems make them a valuable asset to Dunwichia, and they are given more autonomy than most towns that fall under the rule of Dunwichian city-states in order to keep the archipelago and its inhabitants happy.
